“The Art of Japanese Framing: Craftsmanship & Design Art & Design Talk by Marta Wawrzyniak-Ijichi” was a public event hosted by Acme Framing, Sydney on 24 July 2019. The talk provided an introduction to traditional Japanese techniques for mounting and framing works-on-paper accompanied by an exhibition of Japan-themed works on paper, including artworks by Kyoto-based Japanese pop-art and mural artist Ki-Yan (Hideki Kimura). The launch event for my book Ki-Yan’s Kyoto Food & Art 「外国人が見つけた KYOTOグルメ＆アート」will be taking place at Books Kinokuniya Sydney, Thursday 18 February from 6:30pm.
